The Long Lounge is where crits, department events and lectures take place. It has limited light, large overhead ducts and visible mechanical infrastructure often puffing and banging, as an exemplary place for architectural learning. Our design puts the room itself on display, by turning the existing infrastructure into objects and divisions, bridging the gap between the hidden and playful: ducts became seating and HVAC equipment are periscopes. One could project out lectures through audio and visual ducts or sit on heated pipe-seats  during winter.
