Avigail Gilad is a designer who cares about extreme environments and infrastructure. Operating outside the realm of traditional practice, she creates work based on the motto The Medium is the Message, thinks in systems, and believes architects should really reconsider their echo chambers.

Avigail is a cynic optimist.
She is a Waldorf kid.
She worked previously at several offices to know
that the profession is full of fudge.
She has previously dabbled in Kites as community led infrastructure.

She thinks a lot about extreme environments.
On 08/17/2025 she dreamed about an igloo on a mountain.
Her references usually include 2001 Space Odyssey and the Hitchhikers
Guide to the Galaxy. Her medium of choice is Found Objects and Subversively Repurposing things that already exist in the world. Performance / Art are also things she holds dearly.

Avigail arrived at architecture through art and wishes there was a renewed renaissance of mashing the two.
